Sojourney Travel’s Top Takeaways from the 2024 Signature Travel Network Conference
Last month, several Sojourney Travel advisors attended the 2024 Signature Travel Network Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This annual event connects travel advisors with networking opportunities and industry updates. With over 2,700 travel advisors and more than 700 suppliers participating, it was a chance to learn and collaborate with others in the travel industry.
After attending for the first time, our advisors shared some key takeaways and experiences:
Jackie Hardy: I loved meeting with new suppliers that I never knew I needed and learning about new destinations that I didn’t know. Being able to introduce my clients to new destinations and trusted suppliers in those destinations will be a great asset as I continue to grow my business.
Karen Pirie: This was an opportunity for us to get face to face with suppliers that provide places and experiences that check off our client’s wish list wants and needs. When we have a personal connection within the companies we partner with it helps put our clients mind at ease knowing we are just a call away from someone who actually knows us personally and can assist with the needs of our clients. It also gave us chances to meet new companies to partner with for upcoming adventures. This time was incredibly valuable to us when it comes to building our business reach and taking our clients experience to the next level of service.
Allyson Chitwood: “I feel like I learn more about destinations and suppliers during the 4 days of conference than the rest of the year combined. It’s SO beneficial to my business to be able to meet suppliers face to face and build relationships that allow me to provide the best possible service to my clients.”
Kayla Smith: “The Signature Travel Network conference was amazing. I was able to get facetime with so many suppliers. Not only did I finally get to meet with people who I’ve worked with before in person, I had the pleasure of being introduced to so many new suppliers who are paving the way for authentic, off-the-beaten-path experiences within the travel industry. I cannot wait to apply this knowledge when I’m curating vacation plans for my clients.”
Ashley Switzer: “For me, meeting other advisors in the industry with many years of success is crucial. We can learn so much by networking and gain a tremendous amount by applying habits that have helped them achieve success.”
Caitlin Bailey: “I connected with hundreds of suppliers, from tourism boards and hotels to tour operators and DMCs. Building these personal relationships allows me to put faces to names and ensures I have direct contacts to better serve my clients. This experience enhances my ability to gather detailed information and secure the best options for the amazing destinations I recommend!”
Lori Stephens: “My favorite part of the conference, beyond meeting suppliers and hoteliers, was watching my team glean valuable insights and information to help them grow their businesses.”
Julie Defee: “There was so much new learning and helpful information to improve our clients experience, AND the down side is now I want to go everywhere to experience all the things!”
