Shannon was born and raised in Georgia where she has lived her whole life. Throughout her childhood, Shannon and her family would travel to many places for her brother's baseball tournaments. Little did she know at the time, the travel seed had been planted. Her first step out on her own was to attend college (in another small town!) where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a Master's degree in Applied Physical Sciences. As a graduation gift, she got to experience her first big trip to Las Vegas, NV. And that's where the passion to explore this beautiful world began.
Since Shannon's trip to Las Vegas, she has planned numerous personal travels throughout the United States and beyond. She has explored the beautiful state of Alaska, catching a variety of Alaskan fish and hanging out with over 20 grazing grizzly bears as they just finished hibernating; has had several road trips including hwy 1 down the California coastline, the National Parks loop in Utah to hike 5 different parks, and a journey through the west that included South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana; has visited the island of Maui, HI and engulfed herself in the native culture; has experienced the city lights of New York City. All-in-all she has been to 26 different states and has the goal of experiencing all 50.
Beyond the United States, Shannon has visited the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico where she got to kayak in the world's brightest bioluminescent bay. She has been to Belgium during the World Cup and got to experience the excitement Europe has around futbol. Her spontaneous, bucket list side led her on a solo 24-hour trip to Vancouver where she got to walk amongst the trees that were lit by thousands of Christmas lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Lastly, Shannon's travel led her on a trip to Italy where she explored the country with 11 other solo female travelers. While there, she visited the cities of Venice, Florence, and Rome, along with the surrounding country side.
Shannon's passion is to see all the beauty this world has to offer and loves getting to share this passion with others. She currently works as a Quality Control supervisor where her organization, people skills, and a proactive mindset will transition over to planning an exciting adventure for all.
