We're looking for someone who loves travel, takes ownership of their work, and genuinely enjoys helping people plan meaningful experiences.

As a member of the Inside Sales Team at Sojourney Travel, you'll manage client relationships from first inquiry through post-trip follow up — building itineraries, handling the details, and being there when it matters most.
This is a remote, full-time position on our inside sales team. You'll work closely with our VP of Sales & Strategy and a small, focused team. Ideal candidates are available to work during normal business hours (8am - 5pm EST) and are able to commit to fluctuating on-call hours outside of normal business hours.
Important note: This is a remote opportunity. We require a secure and stable internet connection, and a dedicated workspace where client confidentiality can be ensured.

What you'll doClient consultation & booking
Engage with clients to understand their travel goals, provide destination advice, and convert inquiries into confirmed bookings with accuracy and care.
Ongoing client care
Handle pre-trip preparations, coordinate special requests, and support clients throughout their trip. Follow up post-travel to gather feedback and nurture long-term relationships.
Accurate record keeping
Maintain detailed records across our platforms. Excel proficiency is required.
Rotating on-call
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support clients who experience emergencies while traveling.
Product & destination knowledge
Stay current through supplier presentations, webinars, and self-directed learning. Your expertise is part of what clients are buying.
What we're looking forPersonal travel experienceYou've traveled. You understand what clients are buying because you've experienced it yourself. Someone who has never traveled is probably not a fit for this role.
Required - Process disciplineYou follow documented processes consistently. Our team runs on a well-built SOP and we need someone who respects that — not someone who improvises where a standard exists.
Required - Detail and accuracyClient records and booking details must be right. You catch your own errors and take ownership of your work product.
Required - Independent execution
Once trained, you manage your workload without constant direction. You follow through without being chased.
Required - Excel proficiency
You're comfortable in Excel. This is a daily tool in this role.
Preferred - Europe travel experience
Personal travel experience in Europe is a strong advantage given our client base and destinations.
Preferred - Prior travel sales experience
Previous experience selling travel is an advantage but not required. We'll train the right person.
